Employees are the key to success
Ljubljana, November 2009 – Within the ACH Business Academy, the Functional Trainings Programme, taking place at ACH's conference rooms to the benefit of all ACH Group's employees, has been intensified since this September. Dr Milena Sedovnik, assistant to the director general of corporate development and HR and the person accountable for the ACH Business Academy: "Employees are the key to success, we are becoming more than just "physical" capital and one of the company's competitive advantages".
Besides the primary aim of functional training we also help develop competences; our focus has been on personal, professional, and since this year, social competences such as interpersonal communication, understanding and connecting. The program is target-oriented and suited to the staff's needs. With this approach ACH company wants to continue, in crisis times particularly, to provide its staff with many and varied quality trainings, above all with the aim to motivate and build good relationships between them.
From September to date, the educational programme included 13 workshops and lectures. Three more are planned before the end of the year: Value Added Tax, Trends and Improvements in Quality Management and New Developments and Advanced Use of HR Information System. The contents address particularly the tough global market situation, while topics such as risk and working capital management, global economy trends, tax changes and quality management try to confront the training participants with details of the financial and economic crisis. Workshops on stress and burnout helped the participants identify stressful situations and learn techniques for avoiding burnout.
Though the lectures and workshops mostly relate to the crisis, the key emphasis was not just briefing about the current situation but above all encouraging independent thought and guidelines how to achieve high efficiency and successful performance in these changed circumstances.
