It strives to continually enhance the environmental aspects of operations, promote efficient use of energy, rational use of natural resources and efficient management of waste raw materials in an environmentally safe way.
Ensuring a healthy environment constitutes the basic approach to preventing all types of pollution. With regard to modernisation of technological procedures, the subsidiaries give priority to energy-saving solutions and to equipment made of environmentally-friendly and medically safe materials. Their design and construction engineering activities are carried out in compliance with regulations governing environmental protection and spatial management, encompassing space rationalisation, energy saving, state-of-the-art technological, environmental and design solutions and use of ecological materials.
Environmental certificates
Several subsidiaries of ACH, d.d. dealing in vehicle trade acquired the ISO 14001:2004 environmental standard. The standard serves as a basis for setting up the methodology for identifying and defining environmental aspects, which result in new goals and programmes aimed at achieving and surpassing these objectives. Corrective actions assure attainment of environmental objectives and the reduction of negative impacts on the environment.
Waste management
Waste management activities of all ACH subsidiaries include the gradual reduction of quantities of waste through the separate collection of waste and reuse of waste raw materials. The waste is collected separately and delivered to different concessionaires depending on its type (paper, glass, waste packaging, plastics, dangerous waste). Waste management is particularly important in subsidiaries with a specific business activity – therefore, the subsidiaries dealing in vehicle trade have drawn up a five-year waste management plan.
