ACH Gallery

The ACH Gallery's opening in 2003 followed the first presentation of the art collection of ACH, d.d. to the wider public on the company's 50th anniversary. On this occasion, we opened the »Spirit in Time« exhibition in 2002, in cooperation with the Ljubljana National Gallery, and issued a catalog of the 97 exhibits. Owing to the great interest shown, the works were kept on display for almost half a year, which prompted us to fulfil our wish for our own gallery. The gallery is located in the right wing of the entrance lobby of ACH's business building at 5 Baragova Street in Ljubljana. As well as exhibitions, it also occasionally provides a venue for other cultural and educational events.
The Archieve of past exhibitions are available in a virtual form or as a list and pictures of exhibits. The first exhibition featured Matej Sternen, with a total of 23 works from ACH's collection, being the largest collection of this fine impressionist painter. In October 2004, during a visit from the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Fine Arts (ICFA), the exhibition of landscapes entitled In the Sign of the Mood , was opened, followed by the exhibition The Face – The Mirror of the Soul, with selected portraits and studies from the ACH Art Collection, and the exhibition Lanscapes of the Vision and of the Mind . The latter displayed selected landscapes in Slovenian art from Pernhart to Bernik, grouped in two parts with respect to their basic focus – the depiction of the visible world or the depiction of inner landscapes. In the spring of 2008, during Slovenia's EU presidency, our first exhibition of works from outside our collection was held as an event to accompany the renaming of the Debis AC Leasing company into Daimler AC Leasing, d.o.o. At the invitation of the renamed company, an exhibition of photos by Wilhelm Heiliger was mounted - Changing Light - Changing Colours.
In October 2008, we displayed the "Slovenian impresionists from the ACH Art Colection", with a bronze bust of the Slovenian painter and teacher Anton Ažbe placed in the central gallery room. To read more about him and ACH's contribution by producing memorials to the artist, at home and abroad, click on Anton Ažbe.
The current "Visual Matrices "exhibition is open to visitors every weekday from 10 AM to 6 PM. Welcome!
